Recycling toner cartridges

There seem to be plenty of ways of doing this which will not cost your school any money - and many of these offer the additional benefit of raising funds for your school or for charity.  Below are those which were most frequently mentioned by you.

 

One of your favourite ways of recycling was via Tommy's, the baby charity - you can recycle at no cost to your school and the money goes to a great cause.  If do a google search there are lots of other charities out there which will provide freepost envelopes or labels for you to recycle your cartridges.  http://www.tommys.org/Page.aspx?pid=429

 

Quite a few of you also mentioned recycling via Tesco's.  I looked on the website and they do recycle mobile phones and inkjet cartridges but there was no mention of toner cartridges. With Tesco you can earn green clubcard points or donate them to Marie Curie Cancer Care.  Tesco provide the recycling envelopes so no cost to the school. http://www.tesco.com/greenerliving/what_we_are_doing/green_clubcard_points/default.page?

 

One really useful website I found was Environmental Business Products which makes cartridges - http://www.inkagain.co.uk/.   They have loads of information on recycling for charity at no cost to your school.
